Your gift will be MATCHED to help scale up our humanitarian response
Thousands of children have been displaced, injured, killed or have been caught in the fighting that has engulfed Gaza and Israel. Children on both sides continue to pay the highest price for the violence.
The rights of every single child, no matter who or where they are, must be protected. Since the ceasefire began, UNICEF has brought nearly 1,000 truckloads of life-saving aid to children and families in the Gaza Strip.
But while the ceasefire has allowed us to expand humanitarian support, conditions for children remain extremely dire. Hostilities have left up to 1.9 million people displaced. Hunger and disease — including the resurgence of polio — threaten children’s lives. As winter enters its deepest period, children and families, already grappling with loss and displacement, will also have to face strong winds, freezing temperatures, and heavy rains without adequate shelter or warmth.
