The children and families of Yemen have now suffered eight years of devastation and displacement since the conflict escalated in March 2015.
Yemen is engaged in a civil war, and children are paying the highest price. Yemen’s economy has been devastated by the ongoing internal conflict, the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters due to climate change. Less than 20% of the population is able to access sufficient and nutritious food, safe drinking water and adequate health services. Nearly 75% of the population (23.4 million people) is in need of humanitarian assistance, including 12.9 million children.
UNICEF is working in Yemen to provide life-saving humanitarian aid including access to nutrition and safe water, healthcare, protection, psychosocial support, and education for children who have had their learning disrupted.
Your gift today will help us reach even more children and families with emergency assistance.
